Leonardo program ``TIMKARS''

Purpose: To create a new basis for vocational training in accordance with the requirements of the job market. 27 books were developed for theoretical education, covering all subjects in each key qualification programme. Through these qualifications, Romanian companies had the opportunity to offer the necessary qualified personnel according to the economic developments in the Timișoara area.
PROJECT FINANCED BY THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION
Four key qualifications were chosen, depending on actual social demand:
1. Electronics for communications, with the following specializations: a) Electronics for transmission, b) Informatics for communications, c) Radio-TV.
2. Power electronics
3. Mechatronics with specializations: a) Transmission, b) Automatics 4.
Mechanic for industry, with specializations: a) industrial devices, b) fine mechanics
Partner companies from EU countries had an interest in obtaining new training offers in their own countries. Therefore, the educational offer has become richer and updated to obtain new required skills. For these key qualifications, the partners have established 8 training modules and their programs. A module consisted of: theoretical studies, practical work in laboratories and practice in industry.
