ERASMUS + Project ``m-commerce''

No: 2014-1-AT-01KA202-000966

The m-commerce project focuses on providing training for staff and employees of small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) for further development and expansion of m-commerce activities. The results, unified on the basis of country-specific findings, constitute the basis for the development of the m-commerce training course. Another result of this phase is a best-practice database, which includes already existing or successful m-commerce solutions.

PROJECT FINANCED BY THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION

The m-commerce project focuses on providing training for staff and employees of small and medium-sized companies (SMEs) for further development and expansion of m-commerce activities.

The project is divided into several phases, which build on each other. The first phase includes an analysis of the current state and requirements in the field of m-commerce activities, based on online questionnaires, control interviews and evaluation of secondary data.

In the second phase, the training course is developed, based on the lessons learned in the first phase. The training course is jointly developed by all partners.

The third phase is characterized by the implementation of the training course. The training course is held in all partner countries. In this context, the choice of participating companies takes into account the achievement of a balance between commercial and industrial companies.

Within the m-commerce project, the following are carried out ACTIVITY:

1. Study on the current state of m-commerce in different European regions

2. Collecting examples of good practice from different regions

3. Development of teaching and learning material for the mcommerce training course

4. Implementation of the training course in all seven partner countries, with a minimum of 10 participants employed by SMEs in each training cycle

5. SMEs participating in each training cycle are trained on m-commerce strategies and the first possible solutions for m-commerce implementation

The first module aims to familiarize the participants with the topic of mcommerce. In this context, e-business models as well as business processes are presented. The second part of this block refers to the legal specifics and elements related to the security of online businesses specific to each country. A good understanding of e-commerce and m-commerce processes and procedures is the basis of customer satisfaction and higher profit.

The second module deals first with the aspects of online marketing. Later, the possibilities of introducing social media tools in marketing are discussed. The use of different marketing channels is presented, with a critical discussion of the results of these activities, as well as how the customization of offers broadens the range of customers of the participating firms.

The third module refers to the technical aspects of m-commerce. Usability, responsive design and mobile-first approaches for already existing e-commerce applications are considered in this context. The purpose of this block is to optimize the offer of current e-commerce businesses for mobile devices. We can thus talk about a system adaptation, from representation to performance and data storage.
